Today I was doing some plant research and found a new really cool plant! It is a Juniperus communis 'Compressa'. The reason I found myself so excited about this plant is the formal skinny columnar shape. It can add a formal touch to any garden. Up till this point I've used the Skyrocket Juniper for that tall skinny columnar look needed on custom landscapes. Unfortunately though the Skyrocket Juniper has a blue grayish hue to it that doesn't always work. On the other hand the Juniperus communis 'Compressa' has a nice shade of green to it without the blue gray hue.
